There's a sandy beach somewhere near where Leigh lives (or visits). No sandy beaches around here though, we only have pebbles - so sad. So here's a shot of a bunch of stones. I altered the colors a little to make them more interesting - but they still weren't interesting enough so I put this photo of a house+sky next to it, and came up with an explanation to go with this composition. And the explanation is that this could be interpreted as a metaphor of how I behave in life: like, most of the time I'm staring at the ground (in the sense of being limited in thinking what I can do and/or be) and trying to come up with ways to make the said metaphorical ground more interesting on a superficial level. But occasionally I look up at the sky (in the sense of expanding my views, thinking about taking bold actions blah blah blah), only to find my view partially blocked by tall houses and buildings (i.e. metaphorical obstacles which eventually cause me to become discouraged and blah blah blah). But it's a stoopid explanation, and it's not true anyway: the houses and buildings around here are hardy tall at all.
I really just like how the colors turned out here, and the contrast between the multitude of shapes of the stones and the more flat spaces in the right half of the image.
· I don't know why, but the two pictures work well together!
